How Do We Drive Our Model To Implementation?

 

Appropriate technology can only be appropriate if it can actually be applied. As a team, we have had to ask ourselves, "Where can we find the adequate funding to bring this technology to the people of Agbokpa?"

Here are some steps we have taken:

1. Reaching out to organizations like SNV

 

We have taken initiative and reached out to 

SNV, a development organization from the

Netherlands that supports sustainable development, in our goal to receive funding for

our model. We plan to continue to reach out to more non-profit development organizations in the future to reach our goal.

​

2. Reaching out to SOIL

​

We are in the process of reaching out to

SOIL, an established organization already

tackling the sanitation crisis in Haiti through

similar methods. We hope to see if they can

offer any guidance on implementation of

the bucket toilet model, both physically and in mitigating the cultural differences between our community and the people of Agbokpa, so that our model can be implemented in a smooth manner.
